Calendar

Calendar Overview

The calendar shows all scheduled jobs across your team. Instead of scrolling through a list, you can see at a glance what is coming up today, this week, or across the entire month. It is the quickest way to understand the team's workload and spot gaps or clashes in the schedule.

Filtering the calendar by assignee isn't yet available — every user with access sees all jobs in the account.

Calendar Views

The calendar offers three views so you can look at your schedule at the level of detail that suits you:

  • Month view — shows the full month in a traditional grid. Each day cell displays the jobs scheduled for that date. This is ideal for getting a broad picture of how busy you are over the coming weeks.
  • Week view — focuses on a single seven-day period with more space for each day. Use this when you need to plan your week in detail and see exactly what is happening each day.
  • List view — presents your upcoming jobs in a simple chronological list. This is useful when you want a straightforward, scrollable agenda without the grid layout.

Switch between views using the buttons at the top of the calendar page.

How Jobs Appear on the Calendar

Every job that has a scheduled date will appear on the calendar automatically. Jobs are colour-coded by their current status so you can tell at a glance how work is progressing:

  • Green — completed jobs. The work is done.
  • Blue — jobs that are in progress. Work has started but is not yet finished.
  • Amber — Pending jobs appear in amber.
  • Grey — cancelled jobs.
  • Red — Other statuses appear in red as a fallback.

Each event also shows the linked customer and the assigned worker alongside the job title, giving you useful context without having to open the job.

The colour coding makes it easy to scan a busy week and immediately see which jobs are done, which are under way, and which still need to be started.

Viewing Job Details

Click any event to open the job detail page, where you can edit or reschedule it. The job detail page is where you view and update all of the job information, including the description, customer, address, assigned workers, and status.

Events on the calendar are read-only links to the underlying job — there is no drag-and-drop or inline editing on the calendar itself. Once you save changes on the job detail page, they will be reflected when you return to the calendar.

Navigating Between Months and Weeks

Use the navigation arrows at the top of the calendar to move forward or backward through time:

  • In month view, the arrows move one month at a time.
  • In week view, the arrows move one week at a time.
  • In list view, the arrows move through the date range displayed.

A Today button is available to jump straight back to the current date, no matter how far you have navigated.

Calendar and the Jobs List

The calendar and the jobs list show the same underlying data. Any job you create, edit, or complete from the jobs list will appear on the calendar, and any job you click through from the calendar is the same record you see in the jobs list.

Think of the calendar as a schedule-focused view and the jobs list as a management-focused view. Use whichever suits the task at hand:

  • Use the calendar when you want to see what is happening on a particular day or week and check for scheduling conflicts.
  • Use the jobs list when you need to filter, search, or work through jobs by status, customer, or other criteria.
Jobs without a scheduled date will not appear on the calendar. If a job is missing from the calendar view, check that it has a date assigned.
